Prayer for Peace

Omniscient Peace-maker,

In moments when it seems that Life has handed us much more than we can handle easily, or with equanimity; when it appears that all around us is discord and friction, touch our hearts. Whisper reminders of Your truth in our ear-of-ears that Peace is to be discovered within, through forgiveness of self and others, rather than created by change of external conditions. Then, it is, that Peace, internally-generated, can be transferred via Coherent Vibration to the world-at-large.

May we discipline ourselves to stop the noise-of-the-world by breathing deeply and down-shifting to our hearts, where we find our center and access Christ-within. May we learn to drink from Your presence, that our hearts be filled with Peace. And, when we emerge from reflective prayer or meditation, let us remain steadfast, performing from our peaceful center, though the world around us may not have slowed or changed.

Let us satisfy our yearning for Solace by inviting Spirit to fill our hearts. And, in finding it, may we then, emanate Peace via a deeper connection with Divine Love.
